The nationwide price spike in natural gas, due to tight supplies and increased demand, continues to impact energy bills. While we continue to manage costs by buying and storing natural gas when prices are typically lower, we also want to partner with you to help you save.

We offer programs and resources to help you manage your bill all year long. And if you’re having difficulty paying your bill, we have payment arrangements and energy assistance options to help.

Supporting engineering programming at After School Matters

This summer, Peoples Gas is supporting engineering programming for Chicago teenagers through After School Matters. The program engages 75 teens in science, technology, engineering and math, and exposes them to various disciplines of engineering.

Moving? Notify us as soon as you can

This is a busy time of year for moving. If you are planning to move, make sure to call us to start or stop your natural gas service. If you are moving to a new location within the Peoples Gas service area call us at least 10 business days before your move-in date so you have a better chance of getting your date of choice. Flex connector safety

Safety is our top priority. The pipe that links your natural gas stove to your supply line is called a flexible connector. In the past, connectors were made of brass. But over time, they would become brittle, so eventually they were phased out. Today, safer stainless steel connectors are used. If you have an old stove, learn what a flexible connector looks like and how to replace a brass connector if you have one.
